Gibbering. The troll babbles incoherently while it can see any creature and isn’t incapacitated . Each non-troll creature that starts its turn within 20 feet of the troll and can hear the gibbering must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw . On a failure, the creature can’t take reactions until the start of its next turn and rolls a d8 to determine what it does during its turn. On a 1 to 4, the creature does nothing. On a 5 or 6, the creature takes no action or bonus action and uses all its movement to move in a randomly determined direction. On a 7 or 8, the creature makes a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach or does nothing if it can’t make such an attack.
Keen Smell. The troll has advantage on Perception checks that rely on smell.
Magic Resistance. The troll has advantage on saving throws made against spells and other magical effects.
Regeneration. The troll regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the troll takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of the troll’s next turn. The troll dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.
ACTIONS
Multiattack. The troll makes four attacks: two with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6+4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.
Enormous Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 200/800 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (3d10+3) piercing damage.
REACTIONS
Rend. When the troll hits the same target with a bite and claw attack on its turn, it can use its reaction to deal an extra 10 (4d4) slashing damage.
Giants look like immense humanoids, standing from 10 feet tall (like ogres ) to 30 (like storm giants ). Some giants, like trolls , have human-like shapes but monstrous features.
