Machine Liberator

You empathically feel for machines—you’ve felt their minds and tend to think of them as innocent, enslaved creatures that simply don’t understand the concept of freedom. Concepts can be taught, however.

Whenever you finish an uncontested hack or are locked out of a contested hack, you can choose to liberate the device. Devices that are liberated in this way treat all potential users as hostile threats regardless of credentials or passwords for the duration of their high alert. Other creatures attempting to use a liberated device in this way while it is on high alert must successfully hack back into it, ending the device’s liberation on a success.
