The target makes a manifesting ability saving throw or its thoughts turn inward upon itself creating an internal reality from which it cannot easily escape. If it does not have the ability to use psionic power, it rolls an Intelligence saving throw with disadvantage.

A creature trapped in this way is still technically conscious but is paralyzed and completely unaware of its external reality. At the start of each of its turns it may roll a new saving throw to escape. A creature that escapes (either by succeeding on its saving throw or at the end of the duration) gains a level of strife and is rattled until the end of its next turn but is immune to this power for 24 hours.
