Subliminal Messenger
The target is imbued with a spoken message of 25 words or fewer, which it speaks when a trigger condition you define is met. The target will forget your message after you say it. When your trigger condition is met, the target recites the message in the same cadence, tone, and volume as you used and the spell ends. The target does not recall the message it recited, nor does it need to understand the language the message is in. The trigger condition must be something the target can see or hear within 30 feet of it, and may be as highly detailed or broad as you choose, as long as it is designated in a language the creature understands and it is able to recognize (if not understand) the trigger itself. For example, the trigger could be when a specific code phrase is spoken to the target, or when they next hear music. The code phrase may be in a language the target doesn’t speak, but the triggering music can’t be a specific piano piece if the creature is unfamiliar with it.
When using a 4th-level spell slot, the duration is up to 1 week. When using a 5th-level spell slot, the duration is 1 month. When using a 7th-level spell slot, the effect lasts for 1 year. When using a 9th-level spell slot, the effect lasts until it is dispelled or triggered.
Rare: D’Amandre’s Unwilling Messenger. The spell’s casting time is 1 action, and the target does not need to be willing. If the target is unwilling, a Wisdom saving throw negates.
